This 3-day journey takes you from Marrakech to Fes, passing through some of Morocco’s most breathtaking landscapes. You’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains, explore UNESCO-listed Kasbahs, and experience the magic of the Sahara Desert, where you’ll ride camels and spend the night under a sky full of stars.
Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
After breakfast, we’ll depart for the Sahara Desert, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m). We’ll visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a famous filming location. After a stop in Ouarzazate, we’ll drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing through Skoura and the Valley of Roses before reaching the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight stay in a traditional hotel near the Dades Gorges
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we’ll drive through Berber villages towards the stunning Todra Gorges, where you’ll have time to explore and enjoy lunch (optional). Then, we’ll head to the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, where a camel trek awaits, taking you into the heart of the desert. You’ll stop to admire the sunset over the dunes before reaching the camp. Upon arrival, enjoy traditional mint tea, a Berber dinner, and an evening of drumming under the starry sky. Overnight in luxury desert tents
Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Midelt – Ifrane – Fez
Wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, we’ll leave the desert behind, passing through Midelt for lunch. The journey continues through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, where you may spot Barbary macaques. We’ll stop in Ifrane, often called the “Moroccan Switzerland” due to its alpine-style architecture, before arriving in Fez around 19:00, marking the end of the tour.
