Explore the Draa Valley and the vast Chegaga dunes, where you’ll enjoy a camel ride and a stunning sunset. Spend the night in a traditional desert camp with comfort and safety. On the final day, travel through the historic Paris-Dakar route and the Iriqui dry lake before returning to Marrakech, filled with unforgettable memories of Morocco’s desert landscapes.

Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Zagora

After breakfast at your hotel in Marrakech, depart by 4×4 towards Ouarzazate, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, the highest in Morocco. Enjoy a traditional Berber tea in the Atlas Mountains and visit Morocco’s most famous kasbah, Ait Benhaddou. After lunch in Ouarzazate, continue through the Draa Valley towards Zagora, where you will spend the night in a charming guesthouse.

Day 2: Zagora – M’hamid – Chegaga

After breakfast at the Riad, visit the Quranic library in the potters’ village before heading to M’hamid via the Oulad Brahim palm grove and its ancient village. Enjoy a nature-side lunch before continuing to the vast Chegaga dunes, the highest in Morocco (300m). Witness a stunning sunset, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in a traditional tented bivouac, offering excellent comfort and security.

Day 3: Chegaga – Taznakht – Marrakech

After a private breakfast on the dunes, take a camel ride before departing for Foum-Zguid via the historic Paris-Dakar track and the dry lake of Iriqui. Lunch in Taznakht, then return to Marrakech, arriving in the late afternoon.
